Ein neues Uhrmacherhandwerk

A new watchmaker's trade 
3D metal printing is a central aspect of my work. The specific concept of adding material instead of removing it 
requires new, unconventional thinking when designing. The use of 3D printing allows the creation of 
unparalleled designs with extensive customization options. Although seemingly paradoxical to this use of 
State of the art, every part of the clock in my studio is made by hand. With this combination of

In my designs I am always searching for harmony and balance in proportions. But I am also fascinated by the kind of beauty and spontaneity the human brain can never reproduce: natural beauty. We can never fully control nature, and we will never surpass its beauty. That is what I find so fascinating, and what gave me the inspiration for the bespoke abstract art dial. 
Every dial is unique and made in-house. I only accept the dials which have a beautiful, balanced composition and an interesting organic pattern. Cold enamel colours are selectively applied by hand. Then the dial is flattened and polished until the intrinsic beauty of the flow in the material emerges. This eventual organic pattern crucial for the beauty of the watch, and only a few dials are found to be good enough to be fitted in one of my watches.

Movement finishing: Fully reworked with hand made engravings and artisanal finishing.
